System Team Product Owner

Position

The Product Owner is member of the TEM Software Integration and Test group, which is part of the Global TEM Software Development Group. This group supports the development teams in integrating software components, test management and test execution.

Responsibilities

The System Team PO ensures that the results of many distributed agile development teams result in a working software product that controls innovative electron microscopes.

This implies frequent alignment with the software development community as well as other subject areas within the organization to ensure efficient and timely integration of the developed components which fulfills the quality standards of our customers.

The assignment is a mixture of the following activities:

  • Handle the system team’s backlog and activities and improve their work
  • Define and coordinate execution of improvements activities for the build and integration process.
  • Create visibility on the integration status of the software as well as on the overall quality.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other POs, be responsible for the team review and demo.
  • Maintain the sprint backlog, write detailed stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Phenomenal teammate with clear and effective communication.
  • Curiosity to understand the why behind a developer’s question.
  • Ability to translate improvement requests to something workable for a team.
  • Power of abstraction with good negotiation skills

Position requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical field.
  • Experience in large-scale software development for high-tech systems or systems of similar complexity or at a minimum development experience with large sized SW applications.
