Location/Division Specific Information

MSD, Eindhoven Operations

Position Objective:

The role leads projects primarily in support of operations strategy for the Eindhoven Operations department ensuring that they are delivered on time and with the desired outcome by leading and motivating the project team assigned consisting of subject matter experts & functional leaders. You will ensure that each project adheres to the project management process. You will have a high degree of autonomy to achieve project goals & objectives. )

A day in the Life:

  • Initiate, plan and implement and drive assigned strategic projects using standard work.
  • Formulate and implement strategic change management plans
  • Build and present project report out to leadership.
  • Craft project plans with supporting analysis.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams
  • Handle conflicting priorities by establishing hard-working objectives and crafting a pragmatic action roadmap
  • Coach and mentor team by providing guidance, coaching and support develop opportunities
  • Foster continuous improvement by leading by example, inspire and empower others
  • Form relationships with business leaders and divisional teams to drive efficiency in the project approval and implementation phases.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a science, technical or business field or at least 7 – 10 years’ equivalent work experience
  • Project management courses (e.g. Agile, PMP, Prosci Change management)

Experience

  • Solid track record for running large cross-functional projects in a sophisticated manufacturing environment.
  • Confirmed understanding of project management tools and methodology.
  • Must be detail oriented as well as exhibit strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with and collaborate across departments, business unit leadership, and Thermo Fisher divisions.
  • Ability to build plans that align with partner expectations.
  • Anticipates needs and problems while crafting solutions.
  • Ability to influence others and partner cross functionally.
  • Strong communication and social skills. Strong team building skills and the ability to lead a diverse group of people to develop credibility and forge positive professional relationships with peers and management.
  • Proven track record in large, dynamic and sophisticated improvement projects or activities
  • Experience of significant capital investment projects or establishing new sites, product transfers, consolidations is desirable
