This type of facility has to follow rules and regulations of cGMP set by countries health and welfare ministries and with internationally harmonized guidelines that give guidance with implementing these rules and regulations.

The job holder should be practically and theoretically good in the field of expertise (Analytical methods). Knowledge of analytical methods and processes according to cGMP and EH&S guidelines and quality systems is achieved by keeping training status up to date and growing own knowledge related to own activities. The job holder delivers reliable results and reports and communicates this in an accurate way.

A Day in the Life:

  • Determine and discuss QC strategy and activity plans with customers, ensuring alignment with their expectations and our world-class standards.
  • Explore and assess brand new testing methods for scientific value and feasibility, contributing to our innovative capabilities.
  • Successfully implement and supervise analytical developments and QC test strategies, maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.
  • Ensure that the quality of studies adheres to current guidelines, setting the benchmark for industry compliance.
  • Investigate and conduct detailed Root Cause analysis to resolve any deviations or anomalies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing equipment protocols and analytical testing instrumentation, ensuring your skills are always current.
  • Actively engage in continuous training to improve performance and expertise.
  • Support and drive improvement projects in QC, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Exemplify professional behaviors and foster a quality culture mentality, inspiring peers to strive for excellence.
  • Operate within company and regulatory policies and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, analytical/problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and success.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Education / Experience:

  • Master of Science or equivalent experience, with over 3 years' experience in the Quality Control Scientist team.
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience, with over 5 years' experience in the Quality Control Scientist team.
  • Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Specific knowledge of bio-pharmaceutical processes, pharmaceutical guidelines, and QC applications.
