The job:
As Regional Director, Key Accounts (EMEA) , you will lead Thermo Fisher Scientific’s strategic account engagement across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for developing and executing regional strategies to grow and retain our most important customer partnerships — including global BioPharma, CDMO and Biotechnology organizations.
You will oversee a team of BioProduction Account Managers who serve as strategic partners to these customers, aligning Thermo Fisher’s full portfolio of products and services to customer needs. In close collaborate with regional commercial leadership and cross-divisional stakeholders, you will deliver value that supports our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
This role is fully remote (working from home) based anywhere in Europe . Regular international travel will be required – up to 50% of working time, including overnight stays.
What will you do?
- Own and execute the regional key account strategy, aligned with global and enterprise initiatives
- Serve as senior relationship lead for top strategic customers, engaging at executive level
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Bioproduction Account Managers
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver integrated, customer-centric solutions
- Drive revenue, margin, retention, and share growth across strategic accounts
- Represent the voice of the customer and continuously enhance customer experience
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Multiple years of commercial experience within the life sciences, diagnostics, or related industry
- Several years leading complex, multi-division customer relationships or core account teams
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record of delivering growth through strategic account management
- Experience working in a global matrix environment and influencing across business units
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to travel regionally and occasionally globally (~40–50%)
- Self-motivated and well organized individual with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in English
- Driving licence
