Position Summary
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an integral member of our operations finance team in Eindhoven – The Netherlands, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll support the production of innovative Transmission Electron Microscopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of production costs, variances, and cost drivers to support data-driven operational decisions.
- Monthly Financial close: collaborate with the team in the monthly financial closing process. Responsibilities include controlling expenses, defining accruals, and reviewing the balance sheet.
- Budgeting and forecasting: together with finance site lead drive the annual budgeting (AOP) and monthly forecasting process including reporting through the monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Capital Expenditures: Support the business by reviewing project cases and calculating the Return on Investment for CAPEX requests. Ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards by providing guidance to the accounting team on asset management and depreciation.
- Partnership: Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to improve workflows and productivity, and focus on achieving financial and operational plans.
- Driving improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to achieve measurable operational and financial improvements.
- Data Sustainability: Leverage tools, including machine learning and data science, to improve data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and sustainability.
- Strategic Insights: Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to guide leadership in achieving financial and operational goals. Participate as a finance partner, in strategic operations projects and give guidance on the financial impact and results.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements in alignment with financial and cost accounting standards.
What We Need to See
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards and cost accounting principles and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and operational flows.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance within a global hardware technology or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead change and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems like QAD or SAP. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong communication in English and Dutch.
- Exceptional can-do mentality, ability to prioritize, and resolve challenges in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in working with large datasets and complex processes.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on driving business performance improvements.
