Cerba Research recrute un(e)

Transport Network Coordinator

Rijswijk, Netherlands; Rotterdam, Netherlands

Job description

Location: Rijswijk / Rotterdam, Netherlands

Department: CTSL – Transport & Logistics

Reports to: Team Lead, Transportation Network

Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Months | Full Time | Office Based

  • Are you someone who thrives when the pressure is on and every shipment has a patient waiting at the other end?

  • Do you have a knack for managing couriers, cutting through complexity, and keeping logistics operations running when things don't go to plan?

  • Would you like to join a team that's rebuilding with energy and be part of shaping what good looks like?

At Cerba Research, we are committed to finding the best talent to join our team. We have partnered with Vector Talent to manage the recruitment process for this role. If you're interested in applying, please direct all applications and questions to Vector Talent.

We're looking for a Transport Network Coordinator to take end-to-end ownership of study kit distribution and clinical logistics across our global operations. This is a fast-moving, operationally demanding role — around 150 shipments a week, multiple couriers, multiple countries, and no margin for error. This role is office based, and for good reason — you're not just coordinating from a screen, you're physically in the flow of getting shipments out the door.

If that energises you rather than intimidates you, we want to hear from you.

About Cerba Research

With over 40 years of clinical research expertise, Cerba Research has built a unique offering of services, including clinical trial management, specialty lab and biomarker services, and medical device & diagnostics solutions.

We support clients from early research through commercialisation, combining the agility of a specialist with the scale of a global central lab network. Our laboratories and connected logistical infrastructure span the US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Australia, and Africa — delivering the scientific insight and reliability that enable faster, smarter clinical development.

Our mission is to transform clinical research and deliver the promise of precision medicine to improve global health outcomes.

Why Join Us?

Hands-On Ownership – This isn't a monitoring role. You're coordinating, problem-solving, and physically getting shipments out the door. Every day looks different.

Clinical Significance – The kits you move support active clinical trials across specialty and central lab operations globally. The stakes are real and the work matters.

Courier Relationships – Work daily 3PLs / couriers, building the kind of operational expertise that takes years to develop elsewhere.

A Fresh Start – You'll be joining a team that's in the middle of a genuine reset. New people, new energy, and a real opportunity to help build a positive, high-performing environment from the ground up.

How You Will Add Value

As our Transport Network Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound study kit shipments — from booking through to final delivery confirmation across both specialty and central lab operations

  • Prepare labels, AWBs, shipping documents, and quality checks, working closely with the kit building team on daily and weekly shipment planning

  • Manage daily communication with couriers — DHL, Marken, World Courier — escalating time-critical issues and holding service providers accountable

  • Collaborate with Exporters and Importers of Record to ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with FDA and international regulations

  • Manage depot start-up and ongoing operations, including site lists, inventory tracking, and kit resupply

  • Set up and maintain Clinical Trials Transportation configurations for new and ongoing studies

  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking records and update sponsor and CRO trackers in real time

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to SOP and work instruction development

Job requirements

About You

You're organised, responsive, and not the type to let something sit when a shipment is at risk. You're comfortable in a busy, sometimes unpredictable environment and you bring a positive, can-do attitude that makes the people around you better. You see the bigger picture, not just your corner of it.

You bring:

  • 1–2 years of experience in transport coordination, logistics operations, or clinical supply chain

  • Working knowledge of GDP and GCP requirements in a regulated environment

  • The ability to manage a high volume of concurrent shipments with accuracy and composure

  • A genuinely hands-on attitude — you're as comfortable preparing a courier pickup as you are chasing a delayed flight

  • Full availability for office-based work, particularly in the early months of the role

  • MBO level education or equivalent

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a welcome bonus
