Thermo Fisher Scientific is a global pharmaceutical leader dedicated to developing and producing high-quality soft gel capsules for both our product portfolio and valued customers. We are seeking for a Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Control Department at our Tilburg facility in the Netherlands. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements while supporting the development and manufacturing of life-saving pharmaceutical products.
DESCRIPTION
How you will make an impact:
As a Quality Control (QC) Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our products. Working within a regulated laboratory environment, you will support routine quality control activities and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of product excellence and regulatory compliance.
What you will do:
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications, standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Support investigations into out-of-specification results and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Document experimental data, test results, observations, and deviations from established procedures accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining detailed records in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to support product release and compliance efforts
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control department.
REQUIREMENTS
How you will get here:
Education:
- MBO degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field
Experience:
- Previous laboratory experience through internships, practical training, or entry-level employment is preferred.
- Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is advantageous but not required.
- Experience with wet chemical and physicochemical analyses is preferred.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and analytical testing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and testing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with LIMS is an advantage
