Internship Assignment – Starting January/February 2026

Are you looking for an internship where you can contribute to a current and future-oriented development in finance? Join the Corporate Finance Services (CFS) team in Zwolle. Starting with the 2026 financial year, organizations are required to submit their annual reports in XBRL format. The actual reporting will take place in 2027, once the financial year has ended. Abbott is preparing for this new requirement, and you can play a valuable role in this transition. This assignment is suitable as a work placement or graduation internship, depending on your study phase and learning goals.

What will you do?

You will help prepare Abbott for the implementation of XBRL reporting. You will investigate what is needed to make this transition successful and advise on concrete steps. Your tasks include:

- Mapping current reporting processes across entities
- Performing a gap analysis
- Researching suitable tools and software
- Identifying differences and opportunities for standardization
- Drafting recommendations
- Supporting a pilot project
- Documenting and presenting findings

What will you learn?

During this internship, you will develop skills in financial reporting, process analysis, digital transformation, and stakeholder communication. You will be guided by experienced professionals and work in an environment where your input is valued.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an intern who:
- Is pursuing a HBO or WO degree in Finance & Control, Business Administration, Accountancy or similar
- Is analytically strong and works in a structured way
- Has an interest in financial processes and digitalization
- Can work independently and takes initiative
