Information about the intern assignment starting February 2024
Preferred education level: Bachelor / WO
Preferred education or background: Bachelor/Master student (not necessarily last year) with a background in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Management, Communication, or related field. Availability between 32-40 hours per week.
Estimated length of intern period (>5 months): 6 months with the possibility of extension up to 9-12 months.
The internship will allow the student to be fully immersed in meaningful work that impacts the future of our business. At Abbott, we do work that matters! For this internship, you will be part of our Diabetes Care Team (ADC). We are looking for an enthusiastic & hands-on student, excited to work for The FreeStyle Libre portfolio. The FreeStyle Libre propositions make glucose monitoring easier for people aged 4 and older, living with diabetes.

You will be a key team member of the project: Supporting people with diabetes. As a fact, you will:
co-lead the X-functional team in charge of the project
co-represent the marketing function & engage in the project strategy, milestones & deliverables
work on the design & execution of the marketing collaterals
In this internship you will get a clear view of the day-to-day activities of a Brand Manager job function within marketing.
- Co-creation of marketing collaterals needed for the project realization (i.e. posters, e-learning platform, newsletters), in line with Abbott policies & procedures
- Gather & implement input from the X-functional team & relevant stakeholders for the agreed marketing collaterals & activities
- Support the Marketing Team in creating Project Updates & Reviews
- Engaging in strategy development by assisting the Marketing Team

Has pro-active attitude, excellent communication & collaboration skills, highly committed, entrepreneurial mindset, real team player with a hands-on mentality, passionate about understanding consumers, shows willingness to learn and is a curious personality.
Good balance between creativity and strategic analysis.
Strong command of MS Office tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc), good project and time management capabilities.
Fluent in verbal and written English and native Dutch.
