JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Job Function:

Primary Abbott TPM representative in the relationship and negotiation with Cross BU EM TPMs. Manage TPM relationships in EPD’s overall Manufacturing Strategy, EM specifically.

Overall e2e accountability for cost, supply assurance, service and quality aspects with relevant TPMs. Ensure cross functional governance with TPMs. Make sure models are established per TPM to enforce clear roles and responsibilities, metrics set to manage performance and to ensure an effective supply chain.

Build and execute robust project plans to manage continuous improvement activities across all improvement aspects e.g. supply performance, margin & profitability improvement

Own all commercial aspects and MSAs (incl. renegotiation of MSAs when appropriate) to fully understand the cost basis of products at TPMs. Incorporate financial management tools such as “open-book/should-cost modelling” and “clean-sheet analysis” to effectively manage/negotiate product costs.

Accountable to establish and maintain effective cross-functional communication and working relationships between Abbott’s Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Mfg. Science & Technology (MS&T), Business Development, Legal, R&D, NPI and Regulatory with the TPM’s equivalent functions to ensure proper adherence to agreed MSA requirements and to implement NPI.

Support direct manager in the creation of TPM strategy for EPD EM Operations. Update and expand BU EM’s TPM database and provide input regarding optimal sourcing of products under their management.

Partner with Global SRO to drive cost improvement initiatives, anticipate and leverage trends and best practices within contract manufacturing to assure best quality, supply performance and optimal cost profiles
Core Job Responsibilities:

MSA Negotiation: support negotiation of all contractual terms related to product supply. Work closely with legal function to appropriately address contractual requirements and language.

Primary contact ("One Voice") between Abbott & TPM; accountable for managing MSAs. Primary Abbott interface with TPM key account managers. Lead Business Review Meetings manage due diligence assessments of TPM’s ability to manufacture for Abbott and represent TPM to internal Abbott resources to ensure effective interface.

Manage financial considerations, including a Continuous Improvement mind-set at TPMs to ensure a discipline of cost competitiveness that can continue to deliver Cost of Goods benefits. Provide TPM oversight to ensure approved projects are within budget (e.g., NPIs, Mfg. Source change & validation of new manufacturing processes for existing Products).

Coordinate knowledge sharing with TPM Managers within EM to drive cost saving initiatives through best practise sharing

Lead projects to be executed at TPMs, primarily responsible for a) RFI / RFQ execution, b) engagement of TPM for NPI activities and c) MSA update and implementation as applicable d) continuous COGS reduction initiatives

Collaborate with Global and Regional TPM Managers to assess localisation sourcing proposals for presentation and decision at EPO Sourcing Council, where there is impact to a TPM’s.

Researches and evaluates products and suppliers. Performs value analysis on cost and supplier.

Analysis Complex problems and delivers solutions.
Preferred Background and Education:
-
Master’s degree, preferably in science, engineering or business management. MBA degree is beneficial

A further degree in CIPS, APICS or similar would be beneficial

Fluent in English (Both verbal and written)

Must be based in the Netherlands
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare, FMCH, Life Science or Pharmaceutical Industry

Experience within an operational, procurement, supply chain or quality function
-
Relationship Management experience
-
Project and change management experience
-
Contract Management and strong financial analytical ability

Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and market access requirements linked to product sourcing in support of building sourcing strategies

Demonstrated problem-solving ability
-
Adaptable to changing priorities, fluid work environments and cultural diversity.

Goal oriented, able to work empowered within a team environment

Good verbal, written communication skills. Ability to interface with and influence multiple areas, external and internal to Abbott is essential
