As the Head Market Access Netherlands, you are responsible for the development and execution of the early commercialization plans and the market access strategies across AbbVie’s full portfolio of pharmaceutical products to ensure national and local access across the Netherlands for patients.
You will drive the market access strategy for the Immunology department, including therapeutic area's Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology. You will effectively orchestrate communication and alignment across the Market Access team.
You will also develop actions and programs with stakeholders to build relationships, gain insights on their needs and be perceived as a trusted partner. You do this while leveraging data, analytics, and a strategic mind-set in all aspects of the business. You will join an enthusiastic team based in Hoofddorp, reporting to the Director Market Access & External Affairs.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Provide overarching leadership and direction for the Dutch market access strategies, plans and resource investment. Encompass a “One AbbVie” mindset and perspective in all strategies.
- Responsible for developing and executing the market access strategies across the immunology portfolio of AbbVie products.
- Generate robust asset commercialization plans and market access launch plans in preparation for launching multiple new assets into the market simultaneously, and over the course of the product life cycle including strategies for additional indications.
- Lead the wider market access matrix in planning and executing access strategies for pipeline and on-market products.
- Responsible for management of the market access mangers (currently 2 market access managers), including performance and talent management activities like goalsetting and development plans.
- Engage cross-functionally to ensure that there is clarity around the strategy and specific needs from the brand teams.
- Understand the evolving nature of our key external customers and communicate insights to the wider business, with a specific focus on national payer dynamics
- Have strategic oversight on the development of the launch plans for designated assets and associated indications in the AbbVie pipeline.
- Monitor changes and competitive situation at the hospital and insurers level to anticipate risks and opportunities for market access and companies’ products.
- Deliver key market access initiatives and KPIs.
- Liaise with international market access leads to identify further requirements for Dutch market access.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Advanced degree in Business, Public Health, Life Sciences, or other relevant area preferred.
- At least 5 year’s experience in pharmaceutical or related field with a focus on market access.
- Strong leadership skills and people development mindset, track record of people management.
- Outside-in thinking and responsible for developing your stakeholder network.
- Launching new pharmaceutical products into an HTA or single-payer market.
- Cross-functional experiences including field sales, finance, market analytics.
- Skilled in developing innovative solutions to secure patient access to medicines within a national health system.
- Experience and strong ability in working collaboratively across matrix functions.
