Value-Added Service Supervisor
The Value-Added Service Supervisor is part of the Global Supply Planning team and is responsible for directly supervising a team of VAS Coordinators. VAS Coordinators are responsible for management of VAS activities between Planning, central and regional distribution centers (DCs), Global Distribution and Logistics (GDL), Quality Assurance (QA), Packaging Engineering (PE) and Affiliates. Their objective is to meet market demand on a routine bases (so called repeating events for redressing and deferment) as well as in exceptional cases (so called single VAS events).
The VASC Supervisor is responsible for achieving operational results with their team, as well as developing and coaching individuals to reach their potential within the department and preparing them for future opportunities within AbbVie. The supervisor builds strong relationships with Distribution Centers, Affiliates, IME- and internal Supply Chain partners to drive operational excellence. In addition to people management responsibilities, the supervisor also has direct VAS responsibilities.
- Directly manage Value added Service activities for AbbVie Pharmaceutical and Aesthetics bulk- and finished products between Quality Assurance, Packaging Engineering, Finance, Affiliates, Planning and Central – Regional Distribution Centers in Netherlands, US, Singapore and Panama.
- Drives a culture of continuous improvement and initiates the 3–5-year long-term strategy including resource plan, change management and communication
- Provide supervision, coaching and guidance for the VAS team (approx. 3 individuals), incl. monitoring the VAS activities and provide required problem resolutions
- Manages VAS stakeholder relationships and drive the VAS strategy across regions, functions, and distribution centers.
- Create and sustain a positive team environment in the VAS team, displaying high levels of motivation and excellent team spirit.
- Ensure that VAS execution is aligned with plan and ensure that short notice activities are efficiently performed within cost and compliance guidelines
- Improves qualitative output and results by evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes.
- Monitors adherence to all procedures and policies to achieve compliance in a changing environment. Must recognize compliance issues and work with peers and managers to develop and implement solutions.
- Manage specific project activities to optimize operational performance and meet strategic business needs while ensuring that assurance of supply is achieved
- Master level, preferably in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management
- 4-6 years work experience in a similar environment, is preferred
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required
- Experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- A team player with focus on improvement and strong drive for results
- Excellent organizational skills are required
- Proven strong problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Must possess a good stress tolerance and ability to differentiate and prioritize
- Persistent and resilient when confronted with obstacles, and resolves issues in a timely manner
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
