The project:
Participants will receive two years of historical data, including variables such as inventory level, forecasted demand, actual demand, and bandwidth. Utilize this data to devise the most efficient order quantity for each month. We expect that you will:

• Deliver a Python function that calculates the order quantity based on provided variables.
• Cost of inventory calculation: $1 per unit per month within the bandwidth, $2 per unit per month above or below the bandwidth, $1000 per batch ordered (batches are 500 units or less).
• Teams will be evaluated based on the cost of their inventory over the next 12 months, simulated 100 times.

The team with the lowest long-run dollar value will emerge victorious. Think strategically, optimize your Python function, and collaborate effectively to clinch the top spot!

To be successful in this event, we are looking for:

• Be a pre-final student, from both bachelor’s and master’s studies with a key interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, or similar.
• Have proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
• Be bold about your goals.
