Manufacturing Science and Technology Senior Technician - Contractor (6 months), Leiden

We are looking for a Manufacturing Science and Technology Senior Technician .

Scope of the role:

We are seeking a Senior Technician Process Sciences to join the Cell Therapy Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) team, conducting the operations in the Grade D clean room at the central facility in Leiden. The Senior Technician Process Sciences is a hands-on subject matter expert in automated CAR-T manufacturing operations, performing production runs in the Cocoon platform, scale-down laboratory experiments and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on execution of production activities at the central facility in Leiden: Cocoon runs, positive fraction generation, process characterization studies, late-stage development, comparability, scale-down model experiments.
• Ensure robust and efficient operations of laboratory activities, supporting laboratory management.
• Support of Continuous Improvement projects.
• Closely collaborate with Process Development, Quality Control and other departments.

Who are you?

• BSc in HLO, life sciences, biotechnology, engineering or related discipline
• Extensive hands-on experience with cell & gene therapy processes, automated bioreactors, GMP manufacturing and technology transfer
• Result-driven and can-do mindset, without compromising quality and compliance
• Good interpersonal skills and written and spoken fluency in English
• Team player and good communication
