For the Galapagos organization in Leiden/NL, we are looking for a highly motivated Principal Technician Early-Stage Process Development CAR-T .

Scope of the job

As Principal Technician in our Early-Stage Process Development team, you play a pivotal role in developing the next-generation CAR-T cell production processes. By designing, execution, and analysis you shape these new processes.

You are a hands-on Subject Matter Expert in T cell selection, culturing and characterization. With scale-down laboratory experiments you select the best settings, evaluating new pipeline products, compounds and reagents from start to functional characterization.

Your work brings life-saving therapies closer to patients.

• BSc/MSc in life sciences, biotechnology, engineering or related discipline with significant practical experience (>6 years).
• Preferred prior experience working a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, T cell culturing, viral transduction, cell & gene therapy processes and cellular assays.
• Ability to independently design protocols and ensure accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results.
• Result-driven, self-motivated with a can-do mindset, without compromising quality and compliance.
• Ability to be flexible with rapidly changing priorities and projects.
• Good interpersonal skills and written and spoken fluency in English.
• Team player and good communication.
