We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager

Scope of the job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee and manage our warehouse activities and transport processes at Galapagos B.V. in Leiden. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations, from inbound logistics to shipping, while maintaining high standards of compliance and performance.

Your role

• Lead and coordinate all warehousing activities, including inbound, picking, and shipping processes.
• Manage a team composed by Warehouse Supervisor and Transport Coordinator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize supply chain operations.
• Execute routine warehousing and logistics tasks, ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure SAP activities are integrated and managed within warehouse operations.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs (OTIF, Inventory accuracy, location utilization) to ensure optimal performance.
• Draft and review documentation related to supply chain operations.
• Manage training records and facilitate onboarding for new team members.
• Oversee compliance matters, including deviations, CAPAs, and change controls, ensuring adherence to GMP standards.

Who are you?
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
•Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in GMP warehouse operations within the pharmaceutical or
related industries.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to evolving priorities and challenges.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Proven track record with SAP.
• Background in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
