We offer a challenging position for a new Project Manager Process Development to join our Operations team.
About the role
At GenDx, we develop and manufacture laboratory tests for diagnostic purposes. As Project Manager Process Development, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of new or modified products into the production pipeline. You also lead efforts to scale up and improve production processes.
By coordinating and executing projects to set-up new workflows or to optimize existing ones, you enable the large-scale production of our molecular assays while maintaining the high quality standards required for diagnostic use. In this role, you also oversee a compact team of 2 Process Engineers.
You work closely with Production Managers, Project Managers R&D, and QA to identify needs and define the studies required to deliver robust products and processes. To succeed, you are hands-on, creative, detail-oriented, and take initiative. Experience with project management and process automation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Designing and upscaling manufacturing processes.
- Managing process development projects and staffing.
- Training of personnel on processes.
- Troubleshooting regarding manufacturing issues.
- Creating and adjusting documentation for processes.
- Working according to ISO 13485 standards.
Requirements
- Academic level: PhD or Master in molecular biology (or equivalent) or acquired level through work experience.
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostics and laboratory techniques, especially DNA sequencing, amplification technologies and related analysis software.
- Possess advanced program- and project management skills as well as analytical abilities.
- Experience with automatization (pre) and working with developing tests and assays
- Outstanding in keeping overview with eye for detail to interpret research data.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or development company (product development, protocols), and at least 2 years of experience with managing a team.
- Knowledge of conceptualizing development of new products.
- People oriented, responsible with an eye for detail.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- You currently live, or are willing to relocate, in the proximity of Utrecht Science Park.
