The Role

Are you passionate about data, digital innovation, and compliance in a biotech environment? Do you want to learn how AI and digital tools can enhance quality and operational excellence? Genmab’s Data, Digital & AI department is strengthening its internal control and quality management framework. We improve visibility into procedure exceptions and enhance training and quality awareness across the department. To support this initiative, we are seeking an intern who will assist in the execution and monitoring of these improvements, contributing to Genmab’s high standards of compliance and operational excellence. You will contribute to strengthening our internal control and quality management framework by supporting visibility into procedure exceptions, and by enhancing training and quality awareness across the department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in GxP compliance, internal control frameworks, and digital transformation within a fast-growing global biotech company!

Possible graduation or final assignment

As part of this internship, there is an opportunity to complete a graduation or final thesis project focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize key processes within the DD&AI Quality Control and Compliance Office. You will be expected to deliver a clear process analysis, a feasible AI-based improvement concept, and a demonstrated prototype or model (where possible) showing measurable impact on efficiency or quality.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and monitoring of initiatives to improve quality management and internal controls.

  • Gain hands-on experience with GxP compliance and quality management systems within a global biotech environment.

  • Learn to use data-driven tools for compliance monitoring and reporting.

  • Develop a solid understanding of training and quality processes in IT organizations.

  • Collaborate across teams and strengthen your organizational and communication skills.

  • Optionally, complete a graduation or final thesis project focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize key processes within the DD&AI Quality Control and Compliance Office.

  • Deliver a process analysis, propose a feasible AI-based improvement concept, and, where possible, develop a prototype or model demonstrating measurable impact on efficiency or quality.



Requirements

  • Actively enrolled - throughout the course of this internship - in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, IT Management, Information Management, IT Compliance, or a related field at a Dutch university or applied sciences institution.

  • Available for a minimum of 6 months.

  • Interest in IT governance, quality assurance, and compliance.

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with AI tools or concepts.

  • Good (English) communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, international team environment.

  • Proactive and structured approach to work.

General Intern Information

  • Internship duration: 6–10 months

  • Start date: March 1st (or later)

  • Location: Utrecht, Netherlands

  • Work arrangement: Full-time, hybrid internship (at least 3 days onsite per week)
