The Role
At Genmab, over 350 research associates work across 40+ laboratories in the Netherlands, covering 15 different expertise areas. Lab Operations plays a key role in enabling this environment. The team manages and coordinates overarching laboratory processes, ensuring that our labs remain high-quality, efficient, and well-organize, independent of the scientific content of experiments.
As a Senior Associate, Lab Operations, you will join the Global Lab Management department and report to the Associate Director Lab Operations NL. You will work closely with both operational teams and research groups, helping to structure, streamline, and document processes that are currently not yet fully standardized. This role is particularly focused on bringing clarity, structure, and continuity to operational workflows, ensuring knowledge is captured and translated into sustainable processes.
This is a temporary 9-month entry level position to cover a colleague’s leave. While extension is not expected, it remains dependent on business needs.

Responsibilities

Management of laboratory operational processes, for example lab organization, optimization operational processes; all in close collaboration with laboratory monitors, IT, Lab Services, and Facility management and.

Monitor execution of agreed lab operational processes and provide dashboard/reports for higher management.

Collect and align business requirements and represent the business to deliver a narrowly defined project/ business activity working with global specialists and teams (e.g. LabVantage)

Clear Communication to exchange factual, sometimes complex, information to internal and/or external stakeholders who are familiar with the subject.

Support and ensure alignment in case of issues.

Execution and delivery of lab process related projects, contributing to process improvements.

Deliver timely on assigned tasks while maintaining awareness on impact of tasks on other processes and team members.
Requirements

You have a Bachelor degree in a life science topic.

You have 3+ years of laboratory experience in a laboratory environment and are able to translate laboratory flows into workable processes.

You have an independent, pragmatic, pro-active and result-oriented attitude.

You have a high level of integrity.

You communicate well within the organization as well as with external stakeholders.

You speak Dutch and English fluently (Full Professional Proficiency).
