Job Purpose :

ViiV Netherlands General Manager with the ambition to continuously strive towards excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong, independent and credible enterprise leadership of the NL ViiV business in partnership with the local GSK lead team, including delivering step changes in organizational development, competitiveness and impact to PLHIV. Expectation of effective utilization of operational model in support functions rendered from GSK via Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Full P&L responsibility: delivery of sales, performance, expense and profit targets. Maximize lifecycle value of the HIV portfolio. Build confidence and trust of key external stakeholders, Government, Payors, therapeutic experts, prescribing physicians and wider patient stakeholder groups. Budget and resourcing accountability for assigned portfolio and teams, and specifically proactive investment approach of the allocated SGA and A&P budgets.
  • Accountable for Portfolio performance, including a lead role on development and monitoring of metrics/KPIs, portfolio execution monitoring, as well performance assessments and deep dives (monthly performance meetings, scenario planning, source of business analyses, Patient and HCP journeys, Country Visits, etc.). Accountable to ensure clear cross functional execution focus for the LOC team.
  • Lead and empower the local team with vision, confidence, and clarity on accountabilities (Accountable for impact, SPADM, Inclusion, etc.). Supporting employees in their individual development, and continuous development of the team, and by role modelling ViiV Values & Expectations.
  • Demonstrate effective and impactful leadership performance in matrix structures, and utilize connectivity platforms to connect, influence and advocate (Workplace, etc.).
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with support functions at GSK (Finance, Market Access, Government Affairs, Communications, Regulatory, Quality, Pharmacovigilance) as ViiV HC’s main shareholder and service provider locally and in the regional team.
  • Ensure full compliance with company Code/SOPs and Culture – act as a role model and ensure following and LOC team adherence on compliance framework. Ambassador of ViiV Culture and, user and promoter of ViiV Enhance tools.

Why you?

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in life sciences or business, or equivalent.
  • Pharmaceutical/Specialty Care experience.
  • Previous P&L accountability.
  • Experience in launching disruptive innovation leveraging all stakeholders influencing Rx pathway.
  • Strong hands-on and entrepreneurial senior executive with outstanding interpersonal skills, and rich cross-cultural and cross-functional international experience.
  • Ability to mobilize organizations to achieve successful execution.
  • Strong business acumen record, with risk-taking abilities, as well as a strong performance and goal orientation.
  • Track record of effective cross-functional and matrix work with effective communication, moderation, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Proficiency in English, preferably with working knowledge of Dutch.
  • Full-time based in Netherlands.
