The Director of Business Architecture is responsible for overseeing the IMSC Business Architecture and
connecting the business strategy to its technical implementation across various elements of the Digital
Operating Model, including Data, Data Science, and JJT.
This position will consolidate and develop business requirements for an ecosystem architecture that
supports a digitally enabled supply chain. The role entails ensuring that architectural standards are
developed, documented, and deployed to meet core business needs. The Director will lead efforts to
mature the ecosystem while balancing standardization, cost, and value.
The Director of Business Architecture will manage the interface to the JJT Architecture Chapter and ensure
alignment between JJT interfaces and Business Processes as part of the Digital Operating Model.
Collaboration with JJT is essential to align strategies across organizations and ensure the technical
architecture corresponds with business strategies and supply chain processes. As the business partner to
the technology architecture chapter in IMSC, this role involves providing business requirements for
developing a comprehensive ecosystem architecture. Additionally, the role ensures that functional systems
and digital products align with the objectives of the ecosystem architecture roadmap.
What will be your main priorities?
Manage the Supply Chain Ecosystem Architecture
- Assures architectural standards are developed, documented and deployed to address core business requirements.
- Acts as an advocate for Architectural standards across the business teams.
- Assures product development roadmaps align to developed standards and drive towards the defined ecosystem architecture.
- Acts as business participant in the architecture chapter to drive assure architecture standards are implemented and followed.
- Provides regular updates to the participants in the digital ecosystem on architecture standards and change.
Define the Supply Chain Reference Architecture
- Develop and Gather Business Requirements as input to the development of a comprehensive ecosystem architecture that aligns with current and future business needs.
- Participates as key business contact in the Design and development of a comprehensive IMSC ecosystem architecture together with the technology partners in JJT.
- Drives purposeful alignment of IMSC Ecosystem Architecture with R&D and Commercial and the respective technology partners .
Mature the Supply Chain Ecosystem Architecture
- Keeps abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that enhance supply chain efficiency and efficacy.
- Matures Supply Chain Ecosystem based on changes in the business model or based on M&A activities.
Lead & manage a global team of both direct and indirect reporting relationships (Direct Organizational span of 3-5, Indirect Span of 15-20 Senior Leaders)
