Position: Health Economics & Market Access Specialist at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Breda

Position: Full-time, 1-year contract, with intention to extend

We invite you to join our Dutch organization as part of the Market Access team as a Health Economics, Market Access & reimbursement (HEMAR) Specialist!

As a HEMAR Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Dutch HEMAR team. This role requires the ability to develop and implement market access & reimbursement strategies combined with technical modelling expertise. You will be responsible for preparing, establishing and implementing the market access & reimbursement strategy for current and future medicinal products of Johnson & Johnson (J&J) in the Netherlands. You will be in the lead for reimbursement submissions at the Dutch Health Institute (ZIN). You have expertise in pharmacoeconomic modelling and can support colleagues on other reimbursement dossiers with modelling know-how. Therefore, you will be the market access representative in a cross-functional team.

Next to that, you are an expert on early preparation of Evidence generation, feasibility analysis, and make sure critical long-term initiatives are identified and initiated early on. This role requires an analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and hands-on project management.

Primary Duties

  • You prepare, co-develop and execute the optimal market access strategy for obtaining reimbursement in the Netherlands in line with the cross-functional plan.
  • You are an integral part of the cross-functional team where you provide the market access perspective and co-develop the broader product strategy.
  • You analyze the product pipeline and identify the local potential from market access perspective.
  • You identify potential data gaps and develop and execute evidence generation together with RWE and Medical colleagues.
  • Strategically plan/co-create and execute stakeholder plans.
  • You have a key role in operating company departments to integrate market access strategies and cooperate with national and international cross-functional teams.
  • You contribute to the European strategies and align local Health Economics, Market Access & reimbursement strategies.
  • Ensure dossiers are in line with the pharmaceutical economic (FE) requirements for the Netherlands and ensure consistent quality.
  • You build an external network and validate assumptions. Together with RWE colleagues you identify and set up data collection opportunities
  • Prepare a full submission for our products including Clinical Assessment, Health Economic assessment, Budget Impact and Market Access strategy to obtain reimbursement in the Dutch system. And provide additional support and flexibility during peak periods in the HEMAR team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s in health science, Health Technology Assessment; Health Economics, or related scientific background
  • In-depth knowledge of the Dutch HealthCare System and proven Health Economics and Market Access Expertise
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy in an HTA, Market Access and/or health economics role.
  • A creative problem solver with a track record of successfully implementing new initiatives.
  • Proficient in written and spoken Dutch and English.
  • Affinity with a commercial work environment.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 77 690 EUR to 105 110 EUR on an annual basis and includes 8% holiday pay.

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
