We are looking for a proactive and driven Process Engineer / Line Engineer who is passionate about owning and developing manufacturing processes and equipment. In this role, you will be the technical heartbeat of the production line—leading process improvements, expanding equipment capability, and shaping how new technologies land on the shopfloor.

If you love solving problems, building robust processes, and driving operational excellence in a high‑quality, regulated industry, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Role Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Equipment Development

  • Take full ownership of assigned processes and equipment—ensuring stability, reliability, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Lead equipment assessments, capability evaluations, and technical investigations to understand machine behavior and drive enhancements.
  • Develop new equipment concepts in collaboration with internal engineering teams and external partners.
  • Support New Product Introductions by qualifying new machines, preparing documentation, and training operators.

Operational Excellence & Troubleshooting

  • Act as the go‑to technical expert for process deviations, recurring faults, and performance losses.
  • Conduct data‑driven root cause analyses and lead improvement projects that strengthen long-term process robustness.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering to maintain up-to-date FMEAs, process control plans, specifications, and validation documents.

Continuous Improvement & Organisational Change

  • Identify, prioritize, and lead improvement initiatives that increase yield, throughput, safety, or equipment lifetime.
  • Drive structured change control activities for equipment and process modifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering—to align on priorities and deliver results.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment, processes, and investigations.
  • Ensure all activities follow cGMP, EHS, and corporate standards.
  • Participate in periodic reviews, equipment lifecycle planning, and audits when required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Chemical, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on industry experience —preferably in Medical Devices, Pharma, Food, High‑Tech, or other regulated/complex manufacturing.
  • Proven experience with process troubleshooting, equipment performance analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean / Six Sigma).
  • Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with automation systems, data analysis tools, and ERP/MES platforms.
  • Experience working in environments requiring strict alignment to quality and safety standards (cGMP, EHS).

Key Attributes

We are looking for someone who brings more than just technical skill:

Technical Attitude

  • Curious and motivated to understand how equipment works and why processes behave as they do.
  • Confident in interpreting data, identifying trends, and making fact-based decisions.

Ownership & Proactivity

  • Takes initiative and doesn’t wait for instructions to solve problems or explore improvements.
  • Thrives in an environment where they can influence decisions and inspire change.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Builds strong relationships across teams and levels.
  • Able to translate technical insights into clear actions for operators, engineers, and leadership.

Problem Solver

  • Calm, structured, and analytical—even in fast-paced situations.
  • Capable of leading multi-functional investigations and delivering sustainable solutions.

Growth-Oriented

  • Open to learning, feedback, and developing new competencies.
  • Embraces innovation and can help translate new ideas onto the production floor.

Employee Type:

1-year Fixed Term

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 53.500 EUR to 85.445 EUR on an annual basis and includes 8% holiday allowance.
