Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sr. Director, Digital Strategy & Execution located in in either Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; Horsham, PA; Zug, CH; Schaffhausen, CH; Leiden, NL or Beerse, BE.

The Sr. Director, Digital Strategy & Execution is part of Value Chain Management and is responsible for leading the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Digital transformation to deliver enhanced efficiency, speed and decision making through digital enablement and data driven solutions.

This role is accountable to lead the execution of IMSC Digital & Data Operating Model with direct responsibility for Digital Strategy and Maturity, Portfolio Management and Prioritization, Digital Governance & Operating Standards as well as identifying innovative and/or disruptive digital tools or capabilities.


The Sr. Director, Digital Strategy & Execution leads a cross-functional Digital Operating Committee with representation from Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Quality as well as key partner functions such as J&J Technology and Finance.


Manages a global team of 5-12 FTEs and collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders both across the Supply Chain/Supply Chain Functions and beyond including J&J Technology, J&J Enterprise Functions, R&D and Commercial.


This role collaborates closely with the Head of Data Strategy & Operations and the Head of Digital & Data Science to ensure flawless execution of the IMSC E2E Digital & Data Operating Model as well as aligning Data Strategy, Capabilities and outputs with the requirements of a Digitally Enabled Supply Chain.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, drive, and deploy the IMSC Digital strategy & Operating Model to deliver of a Digitally enabled supply chain:
  • Partner with business, LT, and Digital/tech leaders to create, scope and continuously improve the IMSC Digital strategy including capabilities, digital products and qualitative/quantitative descriptors of future state. Align the supply chain digital strategy with Innovative Medicine Supply Chain and Johnson & Johnson Enterprise to accelerate our ability to serve customers. Shape digital strategy, in partnership with the J&J End-to-End Functions including JJSC, Commercial and R&D teams.
  • Develop & Deploy a digital maturity model that assesses and measurably quantifies supply chain maturity and opportunities for capability deployment.

  • Define & Execute the Digital Governance model & define operating/process standards for each aspect of the model:

o Digital Maturity & Value capture

o Portfolio Management, Prioritization & Execution

o Technology capabilities & operating model interface with JJT

o Financial & Asset Management

o Organizational Capabilities, Talent & Career Model

o Innovation/Digital Disruption and Development


  • Lead the Digital Operating Committee to ensure functional integration & alignment with all aspects of the Digital Strategy & Operating model:

o Lead Long Range Financial & Business Planning process for Digital & Data across the full Digital stack in alignment with financial processes & targets.

o Drive accountability for execution across functions through business review & performance monitoring/portfolio tracking process; ensure functions and MVPs have clearly defined metrics to evaluate success and continuous, measurable improvement

o Manage Digital IRC & Financial approvals inclusive strategy alignment, business case development and value capture.

o Partner closely with Digital & Data Science, Data Strategy & Operations and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment to digital operating model roles, responsibilities and capabilities.

§ Partner with Data Strategy & Operations to ensure alignment to broader operating model context



  • Manage relationships with internal (IMSC), enterprise (e.g. JJT), external (e.g. consultants & contractors), other partnerships to ensure delivery of IMSC Digital outcomes in alignment with Strategy:

o Align & negotiate with directors / VPs across organization (e.g. JJT, JJSC) to ensure necessary resources, capabilities, effective deployment model

o Assure that the Operating Model is enabling effective and user-centric tech development

o Partner with Finance to develop formal and clear funding models, transparency in reporting & drive impact tracking

o Partner with Communications, HR, other collaborators, e.g. define incentives aligned to Digital adoption



Qualifications

  • BS in Science, Business, Supply Chain or Engineering required. MBA, or equivalent, highly preferred.
  • 15+ years of professional experience
  • At least 10+ years of People management experience, including leading leaders across multifunctional teams.
  • At least 10+ years of experience Managing a portfolio of products/projects and delivering results.
  • At least 10+ years of industry experience working in more than one of the following areas:

o Delivery

o Manufacturing

o Planning

o Quality

o Information Technology

o ERP Systems & Data

o Sourcing

o Data Management/Execution

  • Proven history of successfully launching new products.
  • Experience creating AND delivering strategy in relevant areas of the business.
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and partner across functions, especially at the executive level.
  • Experience in formal Global Program & Project Management is preferred. Formal certification in Project Execution (PMP, FPX) strongly Preferred.
  • Experience in Portfolio Governance, Management & Prioritization is preferred.
  • Experience of successfully launching complex and global new products, preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (English)
  • Travel percentage – 30% Domestic & International

In the United States, the anticipated base pay range for this position is 173000 to 299000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
