Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a seasoned and productive individual contributor who introduces, maintains,
and improves production processes, while managing supportive processes and
ensuring continuous improvement. Partners with senior management, global teams
and operations to make vital decisions on process engineering and methods,
ensuring the development of robust processes and boosting operational efficiencies
in line with production objectives. Contributes to the organization’s Operations
strategy by guiding team members and facilitating the establishment and
implementation of new processes, applying deep knowledge to achieve best-in-class
improvements. Demonstrates effective communication skills with both internal and
external customers. Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal
communication, discretion, and independent judgment.
Specific tasks and job duties of the position that are required daily:
• Operational lead for the introduction of new production processes and/or
Systems in close contact with the Technical Launch Integrator in a GMP-environment
- Convert technical transfer requirements into functional and operational
process activities.
• Oversee all aspects of equipment, process, and quality from beginning to
End with in-depth knowledge of upstream- downstream- and fill&finish processtages
• Proactively evaluate and improve production processes to optimize
performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency to meet overall production
goals.
- Enhance a culture of belonging through trusting, divers, & inclusive
- Coaches’ employees.
- Shows a great deal of leadership without formal power
Additional tasks and job duties of the position that are not required daily:
- Develop a comprehensive (long-term) strategy for operations, create a
detailed action plan, and deliver results.
- Subject Matter Expect on process related topics during inspection and audits.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent education). A relevant HBO degree with 7 years relevant experience.
- Positive attitude, proactivity, decisive, and organized with the ability to work
independently and in a team.
- Maintain a high level of stress-resistance, ensuring calm and steady
performance in all situations, and supporting team members in managing
- Analytical thinking: ability and dealing with complexity, asking questions,
using data, using information and identifying gaps and root causes of issues
and thinking out of the box to develop a solution.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and establish meaningful
connections with customers.
- Articulate proposals to stakeholders, shaping the decision-making on complex
processes and ensuring initiatives are framed within the business and
departmental objectives.
