Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Manager Analytics Platform Governance to lead governance initiatives for the IMSC in-house analytics platform built on Databricks. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks specific to the analytics ecosystem. This includes the topics of security & access, data quality, policy adherence, metadata management, and workflow optimization across the platform.

The Senior Manager will contribute directly to the evolution and implementation of the broader IMSC data governance framework, ensuring analytics governance is fully integrated and aligned with end-to-end governance frameworks and tooling. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical acumen, and stakeholder engagement capabilities to drive governance maturity across the IMSC federated operating model. This includes leading governance adoption programs and quality improvement initiatives across mixed teams of J&J employees and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

· Implement and evolve governance on the IMSC (Databricks) analytics platform.

· Ensure analytics data practices comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

· Design, evaluate, and implement security & access controls in line with corporate and regulatory requirements.

· Design, evaluate, and implement governance workflows in collaboration with analytics operations and business stakeholders.

· Define and implement metadata standards and management practices across the analytics platform.

· Integrate the analytics platform ecosystem into broader end-to-end data governance frameworks and tooling.

· Work with data stewards and analytics leads across the federated operating model to align governance practices.

· Lead change initiatives and governance adoption programs across mixed teams of J&J employees and external partners.

· Communicate effectively across all levels of the IMSC organization.

· Define and monitor data quality, completeness, and timeliness within the analytics platform.

· Report on trends in analytics platform KPIs and governance metrics.

· Report on policy adherence and exceptions.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives for analytics governance across the data ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in data governance, analytics platform management, or related roles.

· Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.

· Working knowledge of Unity Catalog.

· Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and controls.

· Working knowledge of SQL

· Familiarity with modern software development methodologies.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving domain-specific initiatives.

· Fluent in English.

· Hands-on experience with modern data processing methodologies.

· Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams.

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry.
