About the Role:
As the Senior Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in leading a successful team of 8-12 dedicated professionals. You’ll be responsible for driving day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient testing, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. Your leadership will directly contribute to the success of testing activities, both in-process and for release & stability, across a broad range of products.
You will also be responsible for the strategic and operational execution of testing activities, ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety regulations, and ensuring the team consistently meets green critical metric targets for on-time delivery. As a leader, you will guide your team’s development, enabling them to reach their full potential while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop: Manage a team of 8-12 people, driving their performance and development through regular one-on-one conversations. Set clear objectives aligned with the business strategy to ensure team success.
- Ensure Excellence: Take full accountability for testing activities, from planning and coordination to timely execution. Ensure all vital resources, including materials, equipment, and trained personnel, are available for efficient test completion.
- Problem Solving & Prioritization: Be responsible for the execution of assays, troubleshoot challenges, and resolve conflicts to maintain optimal productivity and quality. Act conclusively to keep activities on track.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion an environment of continuous improvement by applying Business Excellence and Faster Forward principles to optimize team performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead by Example: Ensure adherence to safety and GMP standards, lead key performance indicators (important metrics), and support a culture of quality and compliance.
- Collaborative Leadership: Act as a back-up to the department manager, providing leadership continuity and contributing to the strategic direction of the lab.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, with 6-8 years of QC experience and 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in Analytical Techniques: Deep knowledge of protein-based testing methods such as cIEF, cSDS, RP-HPLC, MS, and Deamidation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving challenges.
- Leadership Skills: Consistent record in leading teams, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities. A proactive approach to developing team members and fostering collaboration.
- Quality & Compliance Attitude: Strong commitment to GMP standards, safety, and operational excellence, with a continuous improvement mentality.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English (and Dutch), with exceptional communication skills to navigate cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
