We are seeking a Supervisor Operations to join our team at the new, fully digital Lenti Viral Vector Facility located in Sassenheim.

This high-tech facility will play a key role in producing Lenti Viral Vectors used in the treatment for multiple myeloma, a disease affecting 160.000 patients globally. We are preparing for the start of commercial production in mid-2025 and are expanding our team to support this exciting new phase. The Manufacturing Supervisor will report directly to the Senior Manager Operations.
What you will be doing:
The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead and manage a team of Operators and Senior Operators in manufacturing. This individual will lead an operations team, ensuring the successful execution of Lenti Viral Vector production during both project phases and ongoing commercial operations.
What impact will you also have:
Production Oversight:
- Supervise production operations, ensuring the team meets production goals and quality standards.
- Ensure a high-quality environment and product delivery according to cGMP, EHSS, and Process Excellence standards.
- Provide input to the production flow and identify manufacturing issues, recommending changes to practices.
Project and Process Management:
- Set priorities, make decisions, and align with other departments to optimize production systems.
- Contribute to goal setting and translate departmental visions into actionable objectives.
- Manage departmental budget and propose financial improvements to operations.
People Management:
- Build and maintain a stable, motivated, and positive team atmosphere.
- Coach, support, and develop team members by conducting regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
- Collaborates closely with the other supervisors, process engineers, and operations managers.
- Act as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in site activities and represent the operations team in management discussions.
- Act as a delegate for the Sr Manager Operations when needed.
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you if you have the following essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Process Technology, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry environments.
- Proven experience with cGMP and quality audits.
- 2-3 years of leadership experience.
Essential Competencies:
- Lean methodology experience (Certified Yellow or Green Belt).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken), Dutch is preferred.
