THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Source Quality Engineer to join our exceptional team at Johnson & Johnson. As a leader in the management of Direct, Indirect Suppliers, and/or External Manufacturers engaged in the production of our world-class products, you will play a vital role in ensuring flawless quality assurance. What you’ll do.

Key activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide timely business support for the assigned Ethicon Source Quality Management (SQM) function globally.
  • Lead, develop, and implement supplier/purchasing controls and associated activities including Approved Supplier List management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and business partners to ensure robust materials, products, processes, and systems.
  • Collaborate with teams from various departments to investigate and resolve/prevent supplier-related issues, ensuring smooth business operations.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, identify areas of opportunity, communicate supplier risks, and drive the resolution of supplier quality issues.
  • Implement supplier process for managing changes, including notification, assessment of impact, approval, and qualification of materials/suppliers.
  • Apply Project Management methodologies to effectively plan, coordinate, lead, and deliver results for SQM projects.
  • Analyze quality data and lead discussions to drive resolution and optimize supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with operations on process/product improvement projects.
  • Prepare Supplier Quality Agreements and drive discussions with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement a Quality Risk Management process for supplier-related matters.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored metric information that aligns with the business environment.
  • Lead component qualification change projects in collaboration with key business partners and suppliers.
  • Apply appropriate Quality Engineering and Process Excellence tools to support innovations and continuous improvements.
  • Adhere to all relevant quality management system, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies.



Qualifications

IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a virtual matrix environment. Further requirements include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or related technical and quality field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Prior manufacturing, plant, or technical background.
  • Working experience in a good manufacturing practice regulated environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Broad experience with quality systems and documentation in a regulated compliance environment.
  • Component Qualification/Process Validation experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of Quality System Regulations and Source Quality Management principles desired.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • ASQ certifications, Six Sigma/Lean certifications, and Project Management certifications preferred.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual in English and Dutch preferred.
