This is what you will do as a Technical Learning & Development Specialist
In this role, you will drive capability development, technical training and knowledge management across our organization. You will assess and prioritize training needs, design and deliver hands‑on and digital learning, and standardize methods and tools to ensure consistent, measurable outcomes. Collaborating with People Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, technicians, HR, and external training partners, you will coordinate and manage technical training programs from needs assessment through implementation. This includes defining training content and learning objectives, aligning schedules with participants and stakeholders, organizing external training courses and certifications, and ensuring effective delivery of both internal and external learning activities. You will implement technical onboarding programs, targeted skills development initiatives, coaching, and continuous improvement activities to capture, transfer, and retain critical technical knowledge. Using data‑driven evaluation and scalable learning pathways, you will strengthen expertise, accelerate the professional growth of technical specialists, and embed a sustainable learning culture that supports operational excellence and future readiness.
You will be responsible for
Capability Development & Skills Management
- Own and continuously improve the Maintenance Skills & Capabilities Matrix.
- Facilitate regular capability reviews and support People Leaders to convert gaps into development plans. Identify skill gaps and development opportunities at the individual, team and department level.
- Provide data‑driven insights to drive strategic workforce planning and prioritize capability‑building initiatives.
Learning & Development
- Coach People Leaders on employee development and career progression.
- Design, develop and deliver hands‑on and digital technical training programs, workshops, onboarding activities, and learning materials.
- Translate complex technical, GMP and compliance topics into practical and engaging learning solutions.
- Assess training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate the planning, scheduling and execution of technical training programs and certifications, including alignment with participants, trainers and external training providers.
Knowledge Management & Talent Development
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to capture, structure, transfer and retain critical tacit and explicit technical knowledge.
- Lead Train-the-Trainer initiatives and knowledge-sharing programs to scale capability internally.
- Lead and continuously improve technical onboarding and support talent development and succession planning.
- Develop scalable digital learning assets (e‑learning, video, job aids) and practical job‑support tools.
Partnerships & Continuous Improvement
- Manage relationships with external training providers and educational partners to deliver and maintain high-quality technical training programs.
- Define, govern and maintain technical training standards and best practices for Maintenance disciplines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in learning design, capability development and knowledge retention.
- Collaborate closely with People Leaders and other cross‑functional stakeholders to align learning with business priorities and talent pipelines.

Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree or MBO+ in Engineering, Technical Education, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical, maintenance, engineering, training, or learning & development environment.
- A strong technical background is essential to understand maintenance disciplines, evaluate training needs, challenge training content, and effectively collaborate with technical experts and external training providers.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex technical training programs involving multiple stakeholders, participants, and external training organizations.
- Proven experience designing and delivering technical training programs (hands‑on and digital).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or another highly regulated sector.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills, being able to deliver a classroom, on‑the‑job, and virtual training.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and comfortable working with People Leaders, SMEs, technicians and other stakeholders
- Fluent in English (preferably also in Dutch).

€44.700,00 - €70.840,00Benefits:
