Kite Europe is currently adding additional talent as it focuses on developing the European Region in support of providing maximum access to patients with unmet needs.

We are seeking a Maintenance & Facility planner, to support Kite’s commercial biotechnology facility in Hoofddorp that includes general laboratories for clinical and commercial bio-processing. This role is one of three planners that reports into the Supervisor Maintenance.

This position works directly with the Technicians, Specialists and Supervisors to ensure efficient and effective work order processing and scheduling of all resources to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. The Planner/Scheduler is empowered to manage work schedules and priorities, develop metrics and job reports, define KPIs and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work schedules.

Key responsibilities:

  • Acts as Coordinator for Facility, Maintenance & Calibration work orders. Activities include leading team meetings, develop/manage schedules, develop/track budgets, and providing timely updates.
  • Principle contact and liaison between the maintenance department and operations planning
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Materials Management and Quality Assurance to ensure Facilities activities do not impact plant schedules.
  • Prepare Job plans so all is ready to be executed
  • Once a valid work request is submitted, the Planner/Scheduler will screen, prioritize, schedule and follow-up on accuracy of the job submittal for all planned (preventative maintenance, demand service and corrective) work. Focus is to optimize workforce productivity and minimize downtime by managing work weeks in advance
  • Always maintain accurate records keeping equipment and systems cGMP compliant.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and contractors.
  • Participate in maintaining maintenance and calibration Purchase Orders
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Tracks and reports metrics for moves/closed work order activities weekly and monthly
  • Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Responsible for producing monthly management reporting, data analysis and KPI reporting to Facilities management.

Skills:

  • Planning skills, strategic approach.
  • Able to work under pressure and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Able to prioritize and able to organize work in a team way.
  • Ability to develop solutions to non-routine problems.
  • Vendor management skills related to facilities and maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • MBO 4 degree or equivalent and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with CMMS systems e.g. Blue Mountain, Maximo or similar
