Job Overview: The Instrument & Field Service Specialist is the primary point of contact for hardware and maintenance processes, supporting both internal and external customers. This role involves professional interaction with customers to enhance their experience and managing tasks for a designated Western European country, while also providing support to other regions as needed.
Your Role:
In this role, you will process customer requests for equipment orders, ensuring proper backorder management to meet planned installation dates. You will serve as a central coordinator for interactions with service organizations such as the technical department, maintenance contract service, and field service engineers. Collaborating closely with field service sales, you will handle order processing, shipment deliveries, revenue recognition, and invoicing of hardware orders. Additionally, you will address customer ad hoc requests for invoices to meet budget requirements and provide information to credit management regarding invoiced amounts for installations, contracts, or repairs. You will be responsible for monitoring hardware orders, service contracts, and repairs. You will interface with various internal departments including Customer Relations, Sales Support, Customer Care, Credit Management, Sales Organization, Maintenance Contract Service (MCS), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Logistic Distribution, and Field Service Engineers. Externally, you will interact with customers, specifically end users and purchasing departments.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in customer service or field service support within a similar international environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and Oracle systems is an advantage.
- Positive attitude towards customer interactions with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent listening, written, and telephone communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Driven to provide outstanding customer service.
