Job Description
Diplomatic bridge‑builder who fosters strong collaboration across departments with tact and empathy.
For our Animal Health location Boxmeer, we are currently recruiting an Analytical Technology Liaison (Large Molecule Method Transfer)
Welcome to our team
Our Global Science & Technology (S&T) division applies science, technology and innovation to support new product commercialization and ensure supply continuity for animal health manufacturing. S&T continuously improves processes and analytics to meet customer needs through manufacturing excellence. Within S&T, Global Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS) covers Small and Large Molecules and oversees analytical activities across the Animal Health network. The ATS-Bio EU/APAC team provides bio-analytical test support to QC laboratories in Europe and APAC, handling technical investigations, data analysis, troubleshooting, method transfer/validation, and development and production of biomaterials and new test methods. A new Large Molecule Analytical Transfer sub team will support the transfer of analytical methods from R&D and QC into Animal Health QC labs.
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Director ATS-Bio EU/APAC, you will serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the coordination and execution of ATS-Large Molecule analytical transfer priorities. You will support planning, organizing, and coordinating analytical method transfers to meet business goals and customer needs. You will collaborate closely with R&D teams, providing expert advice and support in the development of robust bio-analytical methods during the pre-development and development phases of new product commercialization (NPC) programs. Your involvement involves assay problem-solving and will ensure smooth and efficient analytical method transfers between R&D and QC sites, fostering alignment and mutual understanding. Additionally, you follow the change control process to ensure any product changes after method validation are checked for impact and any required corrective actions.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Supporting Site-to-Site and R&D-to-Site method transfers to ensure method robustness, compliance, quality and efficiency in QC processes as part of network restructuring and new product commercialization.
- Continuously prioritize and balance activities to reflect organizational strategic goals and customer demands, maintaining close coordination with QC laboratories and R&D Boxmeer and promptly escalating issues to senior management.
- Ensure the robustness of analytical methods through proactive efforts and involvement as subject matter expert during early NPC test development.
- Lead/support complex investigations, conduct complex data and trend analyses to identify root causes, drive resolution of analytical technical issues, and design hypothesis testing for QC laboratories.
- Analytical technical and multi-project oversight working directly with QC EU/APAC laboratories, R&D Boxmeer and internal cross-functional stakeholders to support analytical testing of large molecule products.
- Build and maintain strong relationship with among others ATS, BTS, Data Science, (G)RA, IT, R&D, QC and Quality organizations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and robustness of method performance through implementation of proactive tools, corrective actions, after action reviews, and best practices.
- Train and mentor junior ATS-Bio colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge in biological method transfer activities and ensure method transfer-related analytical knowledge transfer into QC.
- Present project updates to sponsors and relevant stakeholders, summarizing findings and significant achievements, recommendations, business challenges and act as a representative for concerns related to QC biological method transfers.
- Author and/or review documents including memo’s, protocols, reports and technical gap & risk assessments related to method performance/execution, development, validation and transfer.
Your profile
- A completed Bachelor of Applied Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with large‑molecule biological QC methods (e.g., ELISA, PCR, cell culture, virus titration, and other relevant bio-analytical techniques), including development, validation, transfer, and troubleshooting/remediation to ensure robust assay performance.
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Aera), and a demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Proven negotiation skills to harmonize competing priorities while maintaining excellent cross‑team relationships.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language.
