Our Value & Patient Access team is responsible for ensuring reimbursement facilitating patient access to our medicines and vaccines. Our work spans from market preparation and launch of new medicines and vaccines from our pipeline, to securing reimbursement for our products and shaping an optimal access landscape and to substantiate the value of our products. We strive for broad access to our innovative medicines and vaccines and optimization of health gains for patients, society, and the healthcare system. Purpose of the Position
As Field Access Manager, you are instrumental in facilitating and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to realize patient access. In today's evolving healthcare environment, securing reimbursement is just the beginning—healthcare insurers, professional associations, patient organizations, and hospitals play increasingly critical roles in reimbursement decisions and also in clinical decision making determining patient access. . You'll serve as a liaison to bridge market access (reimbursement) and patient access. In order to achieve this, you will be working in the field with diverse healthcare stakeholders to identify and overcome access barriers, educate key accounts on reimbursement processes, and build coalitions enabling our innovative therapies to reach the patients who need them most.
Main Responsibilities

Optimize patient access by serving as a key resource to navigate reimbursement and access challenges for patients and providers, ensuring timely access to therapies across hospital and primary care settings

Build strategic partnerships with healthcare insurers, hospital pharmacists, care group managers, patient organizations, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement collaborative initiatives that improve access to our innovative medicines and vaccines

Identify and address access barriers by analyzing financial, practical, and logistical challenges from multiple perspectives, developing solution-oriented approaches that create value for all parties while maintaining an external and patient-focused perspective

Deliver proactive field-based education on reimbursement processes, quality criteria, and appropriate care initiatives to key accounts including hospitals, GP care groups, specialty pharmacies, and patient organizations

Enhance internal capabilities by providing education and support to cross-functional teams, equipping colleagues with the knowledge and insights to address complex reimbursement scenarios effectively

Contribute to cross-functional strategy development by collaborating closely with Medical Affairs, commercial teams, and Value & Patient Access colleagues to share insights, implement best practices, and achieve integrated approaches that support business goals

Stay ahead of the curve by continuously monitoring healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, regulatory requirements, and the evolving roles of healthcare insurers and professional associations to proactively address marketplace challenges and opportunities
Your Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in health services disciplines such as Public Health, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field

Minimum 5 years of field-based experience in market access, patient access, medical affairs or related areas within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector (e.g., hospital pharmacy, healthcare insurer); expertise in a specific therapy area (Oncology, Primary Care) is of added value

In-depth knowledge of the Dutch market and patient access landscape including reimbursement routes, hospital and primary care systems, integrated care systems, and the roles of healthcare insurers, professional associations, and patient organizations in access decisions

Exceptional relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to influence and build trust across complex networks of external customers and internal stakeholders, facilitating collaborations between diverse parties in healthcare

Strong analytical background combined with curiosity, leadership qualities, and genuine willingness to work cross-functionally, undertaking complex analyses and producing clear, actionable recommendations

Outstanding communication skills in both Dutch (native level) and English, with proven expertise in account management, relationship development, and delivering tailored education to diverse audiences
