We are looking for a motivated third or fourth year HBO Business Administration or Data Science (or similar) student! We offer an internship opportunity within our Animal Health-Global Supplier Management Business Systems & Process Improvement (AH-GSM BSPI) department where you will have the freedom and space for your own initiative.

The AH-GSM BSPI department is an essential hub in our organization. This department provides foundational and centralized support for the AH-GSM organization by developing and maintaining excellence in the processes and systems we use, by driving efficiency through our sourcing and contracting work, by creating valuable insights through our data & analytics capabilities, and by continually seeking improvements via our operational excellence programs.

The team consists of 10 employees, all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience in transforming complex data sets into meaningful insights, process improvement and project management. The team works closely with other departments within the company to achieve the stated goals.

Your internship assignment
As an intern, you will use SAP Ariba data and other enterprise data to create visualizations and reports with the MAH preferred data tool. Your tasks include extracting, integrating, preparing, and validating data from Ariba and other sources. You will build dashboards to support data-driven decisions and communicate insights into contracts, savings, sourcing, and other processes to stakeholders. By integrating Ariba's procurement data with other datasets, you will provide a unified business view, saving time and enabling faster, informed decision-making. Effective communication is crucial to ensure stakeholders' needs are met.

Your responsibilities

  • Validate data in Data Lake: Review the extracted Ariba data in the enterprise data lake (Redshift).

  • Data Transformation & Integration: Clean and transform the raw data as needed and integrate it with other datasets in the lake.

  • Publishing to Aera:  Make the prepared data available to MAH preferred data tool. The data is harmonized into the Decision Data Model, where it can be used to build real-time dashboards and analytics.

  • Visualization & Analysis in Aera: Create visualizations, reports, and possibly automated insights on the integrated data.

  • Collect Stakeholder Feedback: Conduct focus groups and research best practices to ensure data visualizations and reports meet stakeholder needs.

  • Communications and Collaboration: Collaborate with a global team, sharing insights and learning from professionals. Maintain a learning mindset to grow skills in procurement systems and process improvement while enjoying the work.

  • Offer fresh perspectives by sharing your opinions.

The described tasks form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper training and learning period. These tasks may be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.

What is Required
• A third or fourth year HBO student in Business Administration, Data Science or similar field
• Familiarity with data analysis, possess strong analytical skills to understand and interpret data from various sources.
• Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau or QlikView.  Experience working with relational databases and programming experience.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal• Available for a period of 5 or 6 months for 5 days per week (hybrid working possible)
