Purpose of the role
This position provides leadership and direction for the calculation platform activities including the support of business unit(s). As Senior Specialist you are responsible for managing and leading globally the statistics and calculation products through its entire lifecycle. You are an expert in the business processes and GxP requirements enabling and deeply understand stakeholders and their needs. You will be collaborating with our stakeholders and scientists in the R&D pharmaceutical and biological laboratories together with an interdisciplinary IT development Team. You will work as a product owner setting the product vision, roadmaps, and strategy, ensuring value and user experience are measured and achieved.
Main tasks and responsibilities include
- Work on R&D IT projects in the field of animal health to support, implement and translate business requirements into system designs.
- Analyze and provide overviews on business process, data flows and calculations together with our scientists in the R&D laboratories.
- Translates business and user needs into proper testable and verifiable system requirement specifications.
- Work with IT development teams to ensure that they fully understand the specifications.
- Proactive coordination and communication between the different business stakeholders, IT developers, compliance, quality unit and the supporting functions across the interdisciplinary team.
- Partner with the IT project team and global IT organizations to ensure the delivery of the solution.
- Pro-actively advise, share, align and communicate between different business groups and laboratories across the different R&D and Quality Control laboratories.
- Understand the business process and the calculations that are used very often in MS Excel macros, working in close collaboration with the development team.
- Conduct User Tests and trainings.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology (IT) or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
- A minimum of 5 years experiences as a Software Engineer, Data Analyst or Business Analyst in life sciences
- Particularly good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective at working with business partners to understand their needs in order translate them into clear requirements.
- Experienced in R and RShiny, databases (e.g. SQL) for reviews and guidance on good implementation practices. Preferrable, you understand Excel macro calculations and their usage.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in English to align and manage activities with agile methodologies.
- Mathematical skills for understanding statistical calculations related to data generated in pharmaceutical laboratories or related businesses.
- Used to work in validated environment.
- Currently living near our site in Boxmeer (NL) or Schwabenheim (GE). Relocation support is not offered.
