About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Drive tax compliance activities with the R2R team, managing INE, COPE, and VAT recovery
- Collaborate with BPA team to optimize planning and controlling processes
- Ensure precise cost recognition and FTE allocation within IM division
- Deliver insightful ad-hoc management reports to key business partners
- Spearhead AI enhancements and data consistency in Genie application
- Proactively engage with NOCC teams on tax and statutory matters
- Provide responsive support to local teams, addressing queries efficiently
- Champion productivity improvements and process innovations for maximum effectiveness

Essential requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Business-level proficiency in English; Dutch language skills highly advantageous
- Proven expertise in local GAAP and Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM)
- Strong track record in fostering a robust control environment
- Demonstrated ability to implement and document clear financial processes
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting principles
- Excellent collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional environments
- Results-driven mindset aligned with Novartis values and behaviors
