
Senior Supply Chain Specialist (m/f/d)

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain complex local and global master data in a GxP environment , ensuring compliance with Novartis standards, processes, guidelines, business matrix, and SLA timelines; act as SME and support KPI reporting.
- Ensure end to end logistics, warehousing and distribution activities are executed on time, with high quality and efficiency, fully compliant with laws and supply chain policies; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure material availability in line with the approved production plan through daily MRP oversight , BOM requirements analysis, and proactive management of exception messages.
- Manage and monitor purchase orders in the ERP system (including past due prevention), maintain MRP relevant data and material technical specifications, and execute operational buying where applicable.
- Coordinate inbound material flow by providing a load balanced dispatch list for Warehouse and Quality to meet production needs; manage supplier complaints and returns.
- Monitor supplier performance (Quality OTIF, lead time adherence), lead corrective action plans, and drive improvements to achieve delivery and service level targets.
- Execute order management for intercompany fulfilment (order completion monitoring, change requests, invoicing), support returns, rebates, and credit debit notes; set delivery priorities and act as SPOC for escalations.
- Ensure timely reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios within 24 hours and support distribution of marketing samples where applicable.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business , or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain operations including planning, inventory management, logistics and transportation, warehouse management , and order management .
- Strong expertise in master data management and working with data quality KPIs (completeness, consistency, accuracy).
- Solid working knowledge of ERP and MRP driven processes; confident handling of day to day execution and exception management. Prior experience with D365 or SAP s4/HANA is an advantage.
- Good understanding of GMP requirements; familiarity with HSE standards in an operational environment.
- Strong data analytics and digital skills to support reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated operational excellence mindset with experience driving process improvements and supporting service level targets.
- High resilience with a structured approach to risk management , prioritization, and stakeholder coordination in a fast paced environment.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
