Job Description
For our Global Operations team we are looking for a:
Trade Compliance Specialist
This role will preferably be based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) or Madrid (Spain).
In this global role you will be reporting into the EMEA Trade Compliance Team, whom are part of the EMEA Logistics Services Team. You will be involved specifically to support Organon’s global noncommercial clinical product supply from a Trade Compliance perspective to support disentanglement activities.

This position sits within the EMEA Logistics Services team complementing the EMEA Trade Compliance CoE (Centre of Excellence) and reporting into the EMEA Associate Director Trade Compliance (TC) .
Role responsibilities
- Trade compliance management of Organon’s noncommercial supply globally;
- Collaboration with Organon functions such as Tax teams, Finance, Transportation, third party customs brokers, to ensure timely physical movements, customs release, and onward supply of Organon shipments;
- Liaising with all internal Organon stakeholders to communicate trade compliance requirements, including Organon’s contract manufacturers;
- Full Trade compliance awareness with regards to import and export of Organon products, including the different Organon Entities and Customs Brokerage Power of Attorneys (POA’s);
- Collaborate with GTC team to improve the infrastructure and process related to these shipments and compliance with Organon Global Trade Compliance Standards;
- Comfortable interfacing with representatives of Customs Authorities;
- The Trade compliance point of contact for Organon shipping sites and external manufacturers, custom brokers, specific to outsourced operational projects;
- Independently write and update trade compliance Work Instructions and SOP’s;
- Participate in setting up and maintaining Service Level Agreements with customs brokers and shipping sites.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or comparable professionalism;
- Relevant work experience in trade compliance;
- Experience with/ knowledge of SAP is highly preferred;
- Experience in leading projects, preferably within an international matrix organization;
- Expert knowledge of trade compliance related subjects, including incoterms, HS codes, import/export licenses and intercompany / end-customer valuations;
- Process oriented, analytical and able to work both independently as in a team;
- Strong communication skills; a high sense of accuracy and you are client driven;
- Proficient in English language.
