Senior Project Technician / Research Technician – Groningen, The Netherlands
QPS Netherlands B.V. , part of a global organization, supports the development of new medicines through high-quality bioanalytical research. We are looking for a Sr. Project Technician / Research Technician to join our mass spectrometric analysis team in Groningen — someone who enjoys hands-on lab work, collaborating with scientists, and contributing to important projects in drug development.
As a Sr. Project Technician / Research Technician, you’ll be a key member of our operation dedicated in helping our sponsors to develop, validate, and apply bioanalytical methods. Your work ensures our projects run smoothly and meet the highest quality standards. Methods develop and data acquired enables sponsors to bring new, cutting-edge medicines to patients and physicians worldwide.
What you will do

Plan and execute method development, qualification, validation, and bioanalysis projects

Advise Study Directors on the best analytical approaches

Assist and mentor junior team members

Troubleshoot methods, processes, and equipment

Participate in team meetings and follow-up discussions to track project progress

Maintain project documentation and data in line with QPS Quality System requirements and international guidelines

Keep up to date on technical developments and share insights with the team

Education and Experience

Relevant education and/or experience providing the knowledge and skills needed for success, such as
-
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (or equivalent)

5+ years of relevant laboratory experience for (bio)analysis and/or demonstrated experience in CRO, Clinical Research or related field
-
Candidates with less formal education but extensive practical experience, or with higher education but slightly less experience, are also considered.

Strong knowledge of method development, validation, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with local and international guidelines for bioanalytical research is a plus.
