The Position

Quality & Improvement Partner
Roche Diagnostics Netherlands


We are looking for an experienced Quality professional to join our team as Affiliate Quality & Improvement Partner. In this role, you will be part of the RISSQ Chapter (Regulatory, Information Security, SHE, Sustainability and Quality). You will contribute to the further development and harmonization of our Quality Management Systems (QMS), with the goal of creating the best possible value for patients, customers and employees.


This is a multi site role where you will be responsible for our affiliate in the Netherlands and in Portugal. The 2nd site (in this case Portugal) might change in the future.


As Affiliate Quality & Improvement Partner, you are responsible for leading the Netherlands and Portugal to adopt, implement and improve a consistent, globally-aligned modular Quality Management System, which is essential for securing and maintaining our periodic certifications . In addition, you act as a business partner, advising internal and external stakeholders on quality matters, risks and driving improvement opportunities. With your expertise, you ensure consistent end-to-end quality, helping us achieve valuable patient outcomes and safeguard our license to operate.


Your responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor Roche policies, standards and Quality Management System (QMS) processes within the Dutch and Portuguese organizations to ensure consistent quality assurance across all operations.

  • Change management: Continuously look for improvements in the QMS and partner with the organisation to implement these sustainably.

  • Leadership & Reporting: Act as Management Representative for the QMS and report on Quality KPIs to senior management.

  • Stakeholder management: Serve as the first point of contact for authorities, as well as for the Sub-Region North West (SRNW) and the EMEA Quality Community.

  • Audits & Projects: Lead and support internal and external audits, and contribute to strategic projects.

  • Culture & Strategy: Promote a quality and continuous improvement culture within the organization and among external stakeholders.

  • Mentorship: Coach and support the Quality Officer/Quality Specialist.

  • Issue Resolution: Take end-to-end responsibility for non-conformities (NCs), CAPAs and supplier complaints (SCARs), utilizing process improvement techniques to address root causes and prevent recurrence

  • Regulatory Support: Act as backup for the Regulatory function in reviewing and approving promotional materials in the Dutch affiliate.

Your skills and experience:

  • University degree (BA/BSc, MSc or PhD) in Life Sciences, Medical or Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Quality (QA, QC, QMS) within Diagnostics, Healthcare or Pharma.

  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Subject Matter Expert).

  • Experience in audits (Lead Auditor certified) and project management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in IT tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

  • Knowledge of and experience with  additional standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 19011, ISO 27001, IVDR/MDR, GDP, GMP or 21 CFR is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is not required).
