About the job:
The Medical Engagement Lead (MEL) within our Transplant Medical Affairs team, serves as the strategic medical leader for the therapeutic area (specifically chronic GVHD), responsible for shaping and executing the medical engagement strategy across the product lifecycle. This role ensures strong scientific leadership, impactful stakeholder engagement, and close cross-functional collaboration to drive the medical excellence and credibility of the company within the transplant landscape. The MEL acts as the key medical point of contact internally and externally, representing the company’s scientific vision while ensuring ethical, compliant, and evidence‑based medical activities.

Main responsibilities:

Engage proactively and reactively with healthcare professionals and institutions in an omnichannel manner, exchanging medical and scientific information during one-to-one interactions and group settings

Organize and facilitate local group scientific meetings (hospital staff meetings, webinars, etc.) with KOLs and HCPs according to the Stakeholder Engagement plan, aligned with the Transplant Medical plan

Develop and maintain trusted partnerships through scientific engagement and exchange with healthcare professionals and institutions in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment

Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced, and directed information to key external stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests, support investigators in IIR submissions, and manage local advisory board

Develop and execute individual stakeholder engagement plans aligned with the Medical Plan, generating high-value, actionable insights and proposing solutions

Contribute to and manage evidence-generation activities, supporting both internal evidence-generation projects and investigator-initiated studies (IISs)

Collaborate with Market Access teams by contributing to market access dossiers and providing medical-specific input, while communicating clinical value to population-health and formulary decision makers

Maintain full compliance with company, industry, legal, and regulatory requirements while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and overseeing approval of medical and marketing materials
About you:

Experience: Proven track record in stakeholder strategy, planning, and engagement within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; experience in field-based medical roles is highly valued

Soft skills: Strategic thinking with strong business acumen; excellent interpersonal relationship skills with ability to build trust and collaborate across functions; learning agility and adaptability in dynamic environments

Technical skills: Profound ability to deliver impactful scientific exchange; disease and therapeutic area knowledge; proficiency with CRM tools; understanding of country market access frameworks; effective in using multiple channels and formats for scientific engagements

Education: MD, Pharmacist/PharmD, PhD, or Master of Science degree (required)

Languages: Fluent level in spoken and written business English; native or mother tongue proficiency in local country language
