The opportunity
As a member of the Global EMSO leadership team, the EMSO API Supplier Relationship Manager will manage the relationship with TAPI Newco from TGO perspective (quality, service, cost, continuity) . The upcoming divestment necessitates to form a strong team which oversees the processes after the separation, which is targeted for Jan 1 2025. This role will play an instrumental role in building and leading this team, including Supply Chain, Quality and Procurement members.. The team should be formed October 1 2024. The team will liaise with other functions across Teva such as Finance, Portfolio and R&D, and with the Key Account Manager in TAPI NewCo. The joint task is to make sure the operational processes are mapped and roles and responsibilities are defined and the adherence to the rules of engagement as specified in the MSA are followed. As this will be a new mode of operation to both entities change management and stakeholder management with all relevant parties in TAPI NewCo and in Teva will be key. This will be a dynamic environment where managing operational issues and long term relationship management go hand in hand.
How you’ll spend your day
- Build and lead a high performing cross-functional team to manage the relationship with TAPI NewCo (including SC, QA, Procurement, RA, Finance, MS&T , RA etc)
- Oversee supplier/business conflicts and constructively lead conflict resolution
- Deliver on the operational KPI’s set for the team
- Analyze business requirements and provide input to the sourcing organization to build product specific strategies in alignment with principles as set out in the MSA
- Understand the API needs from Teva side including R&D assets and align this according to MSA agreed principles
- Incorporate and implement external manufacturing process standards within the EMSO API team with a focus on End-to-End approach
- Develop longer term EMSO API optimization strategies
- Managing supplier performance; put improvement plans in place when necessary; ensure effective execution of plans to meet business needs
- Pro-actively establish partnership with all internal stakeholders to insure proper engagement
- Collaborate with Procurement in negotiation of applicable contracts and develop supplier strategy; identify, evaluate, select and manage external partners
- Ensure regular review framework in place and executed
Your experience and qualifications
- Master’s degree in science or operations e.g. Chemistry , Pharmacy; MBA preferred
- Experience in managing a dynamic environment towards developing, driving change, and subsequently optimising . Experience in a start-up environment preferred.
- Ability to build and lead high performing teams .
- 10+ years of experience in supplier management, knowledge of (chemical/pharmaceutical) industry and best practices in Supply Chain and External Manufacturing Management.
- Good technical API knowledge required; including manufacturing and quality
- Excellent understanding how to optimise and professionalise working practices (operational excellence)
- Proven executive-level communication and relationship skills and advanced presentation skills
- Ability to build long term relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated flexibility, ability to work well under pressure and in ambiguity to work and lead in a matrixed environment
- Strong analytical skills for both data and written documents to be able to understand key terms, givens, negotiables and use that information to guide decisions related to importance and how that impacts work with the supplier
- Travel required: 20%
