Position Summary:

As a Systems Administrator III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring flawless desktop and laptop operations for our colleagues in the EMEA region, both locally and remotely. Networks, connectivity, server rooms, AV equipment and Mobile will all cross your path regularly.

The Systems Administrator III is part of the Corporate Infrastructure & Security, Colleague Technology & Support, Employee Experience Team. In collaboration with the Service Desk and other IT teams, the EES team provides comprehensive support to our colleagues in close proximity or working remotely.

Joining our team means reporting to an IT Manager and being accountable for prioritizing tasks, meeting SLAs, and delivering efficient technical support. You will primarily cover IT support at our sites in Eindhoven and the surrounding region.

How will you make an impact?

As an IT Analyst, you will support end-users locally and in other locations within the region, both remotely and on-site. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and coordinating PC hardware and client applications in a Windows environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business users with their daily IT issues and questions.
  • Resolve hardware and software incidents for on-site and remote users within defined SLAs, using standard remote-control tools.
  • Support existing and new IT infrastructure and applications for designated function/site/application platforms.
  • Perform racking and stacking in server rooms.
  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out hardware installations, moves, additions, and modifications, which may require lifting and transporting computers and peripherals. Additionally, occasional inspections of cables in floors and ceilings may be necessary.
  • Offer network support, including port activation, and collaborate with Network Support Engineers for extensive problem-solving.
  • Act as a point of contact and interface between the business and IT.
  • Install software and provide standard desktop application support.
  • Handle hardware break-fixes and swap-outs.
  • Support large enterprise projects and initiatives.
  • Assist centralized teams and technology rooms, resolve major incidents, and conduct investigations.
  • Address desktop security issues under the guidance of global security teams.
  • Write site documentation, run books, and knowledge articles.
  • Provide IT2Go services at selected sites.
  • Facilitate collaboration between site support and the service desk.
  • Assist colleagues with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Attend and participate in team and customer meetings, providing comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain conference rooms.
  • Manage local IT vendor relationships.
  • Participate in audits and BCP tests.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum educational requirement of an MBO in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field of IT.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office product group.
  • Familiarity with racking and stacking in server rooms.
  • Experience using Service NOW or a similar ITSM tool (Ticketing Tool).
  • Proficiency in using service management tools and updating incidents as they progress or are resolved.
  • Ability to provide support using remote tools, antivirus and backup programs, and hardware imaging.
  • Motivated to continuously learn and stay up to date with a broad range of IT knowledge.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Experience in desktop support, system integration, or comparable areas.
  • Excellent Dutch and good English language skills (spoken and written).
  • 5-7 years of experience, preferably in medium to large-sized companies.
  • Flexibility to support other sites when required.
