Inside Service Sales Specialist (AMER)– Job Description How will you make an impact: The Service organization of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Material & Structural Analysis Division has an exciting opportunity to expand the Global Service Sales team by establishing the Inside Service Sales team. The team will help drive revenue growth in the classic service contract portfolio and sell new services to our customers. As the Inside Service Sales Specialist, you will play a fundamental role in growing the Services business and you will drive the following guiding principles of sales execution: What will you do:

• Meet or exceed a defined sales plan; forecast sales performance accurately

• Develop and implement a territory plan to grow business within your assigned territory Build relationships with customers: Establish strong relationships with customers, build trust and rapport, and provide ongoing support.

• Make daily outbound telephone calls and communicate via email to all organizational levels and functional areas in accounts where purchasing decisions are made.

• Capitalize on training opportunities to develop in-depth knowledge of service and support offerings (Service contracts and support plans, time and materials billable services, field application training, bioinformatics and compliance services) in order to proactively uncover new opportunities within assigned accounts to generate revenue growth

• Develop interpersonal skills to work within cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives, lead sales territory activities and communicate efforts clearly within other levels of the organization •

• Understand the competitive landscape within accounts to position like or better product offerings to customers. • Communicate key driven activities, market trends, and changing customer directions to the organization.

• Use data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities with the greatest return on investment.

• Support marketing programs as assigned by the Regional Service Sales Manager.

• Complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely and complete manner while improving productivity during key selling time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• A goal-oriented mentality with a proven ability to meet and surpass goals and objectives.

• Excellent organization skills and individual sense of accountability. A hunger and desire to actively engage in continuous learning – Taking advantage of both training opportunities and on the job learning - putting yourself in new situations outside your comfort zone and tackling challenges as development and learning opportunities.

• Strong listening skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and people with diverse abilities, personalities and responsibilities.

• Must be self-starting and dynamic. Highly capable of working independently and remotely while still maintaining close connections and team collaborations. •

• Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment.

• 2+ years previous sales experience with a track record of overachieving sales targets.

• Excellent telephone and communications skills, and a high proficiency at negotiating comp[lex deals.

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

• Digital literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required

• Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 or other CRM systems is an advantage.

• Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch, German or French desired

• Travel (up to 10%) will be required for occasional sales calls, sales meetings and internal meetings.
