Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:
Join our Global Service Operations Group CIP/PPI team in Europe as a Project Manager II. Coordinate and implement practical process improvement ideas (myPPI’s) submitted by colleagues in Field Service and Central Service. Communicate and coordinate Technical Deviation Allowances/Non Standard Requests (TDA/NSR) from New Product Development (NPD)/Factory to the field. Improve processes, part quality, communications, safety-related issues, project transparency, and overall quality of life for associated personnel!
As a Project Manager, you will coordinate GTS resources to complete myPPI and Call Categorization tasks in your portfolio. You will also be responsible for Practical Process Improvements, Business System Implementations, and related activities in the Eindhoven Thermo Fisher Scientific GSO department. Managing the High End TEM portfolio in the myPPI-system will be part of your responsibilities.
Prepare successful cases to develop ideas into projects, influence collaborators, ensure alignment, and prioritize projects with overall business priorities within GTS and supporting groups. Coach and mentor project teams to implement objectives using PPI tools, validate data and results, and ensure compliance with legislation and IMS regulations.
Requirements and Proficiencies:
- University/Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering direction or a combination of a degree and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
- Experience in a high-tech industry environment in service, development, or manufacturing with a proven ability in a similar work field.
- A technical background in Electron Microscopy is a plus.
- Experience with project management and PPI tools, including coordinating multiple projects and working with multiple collaborators simultaneously.
- Proven track record in effective communication and influencing without authority.
- Strong skills in process thinking, relationship building, and encouraging and motivating project team members or collaborators to achieve results.
- Emphasis on prioritizing the needs and preferences of customers.
- A can-do mentality - self-starter who is also highly productive with little supervision.
- Required travel is low (5-10%).
- Proficient in English (verbal and written); additional language skills are an asset.
