At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. What you will do

Amgen is advancing the digitalization of design controls and manufacturing business processes for combination products, and we’re looking for a Sr. Engineer Digital Product Lead to drive this transformation.

In this vital role, you will act as a Business Analyst, Digital Product Owner and Change Agent within the Combination Product Operations (CPO) organization. You will lead multi-functional teams and collaborate with platform vendors to define, implement and embed Digital Thread and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities that improve traceability, quality and efficiency in product development and lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define strategy and priorities for the digitalization of combination product design control capabilities.

• Lead cross-functional teams to craft, develop and implement a connected digital thread.

• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and drive adoption of PLM capabilities aligned to business timelines.

• Maintain a product backlog, manage vendor relations and ensure solution delivery meets business needs.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement the Digital Design Output thread (Engineering BOM, CAD, and PCS Specifications).

• Coordinate implementation and adoption of design output digital thread for device platforms and combination products.

• Facilitate rollout of complex configuration management practices (Manufacturing BOM) via NextGen PLM.

• Work directly with a key PLM vendor in France to test and improve usability features (e.g., review/approval flows, change requests).

• Be available across EU/US East Coast time zones for issue triage, training, and user support.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

• Proven experience as a product owner or business analyst delivering digital capabilities in a regulated industry.

• Proven experience with PLM tools and digital thread architecture (e.g., BOM, CAD, change control, etc.).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proficient in English; availability to work across time zones (EU and US East Coast).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical device, pharma or combination product industries.

• Familiarity with SAP, MES, or specification management systems.

• Agile or SAFe methodology experience.
