THE OPPORTUNITY
As the E‑retail & Platform Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating BI Animal Health’s (AH) digital transformation within the OTC and Nutraceuticals segment. You will spearhead our shift towards digital excellence across the MIDI region’s markets by driving e‑retail transformation, building strategic partnerships, and establishing impactful framework agreements with key e‑retailers.
In this role, you will lead and optimize activities across major international platforms such as Amazon and others, ensuring best‑in‑class execution and market leadership. A key part of your mission will be to empower, guide, and upskill local Marketing and Sales teams, enabling them to meet and surpass digital excellence standards.
Ultimately, your work will directly contribute to unlocking significant commercial growth—achieving e‑retail sales expansion at least twice the pace of brick‑and‑mortar channels, positioning BI AH as a digital leader in the region.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of BU Companion Animals AH.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive digital transformation across MIDI markets by embedding e‑retail excellence standards and fostering digital adoption.
- Engage and manage key stakeholders at global, regional, and local levels to secure resources, alignment, and commitment to digital initiatives.
- Define and execute KPIs and digital roadmaps that guide markets through adoption, optimization, and performance improvement.
- Ensure high-quality content and product data, tailored to platform and customer requirements across all relevant markets.
- Implement consistent performance measurement frameworks, leveraging metrics such as conversion, click-through rates (CTR), and return on ad spend(ROAS) to drive optimization.
- Lead annual negotiations with key e‑retail partners and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Develop and manage cross-country framework agreements with major regional e‑retail customers in alignment with global account strategies.
- Oversee best‑in‑class implementation by local Key Account Managers (KAMs), ensuring alignment with E‑Retail Excellence standards and robust performance tracking.
- Drive category leadership and sales growth through strong platform strategies and seamless coordination with GSAM and local KAM teams.
- Establish and grow direct business relationships with key marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Bol), ensuring optimized listings, activation excellence, and effective investment planning.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration combined with digital specialization.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in e-retail, covering at least two of the following: manufacturer, platform (Amazon, Google, Bol), retailer, or agency.
- Demonstrated international experience in managing e-retail activities across multiple markets.
- Expertise with Amazon and Bol Seller/Vendor Central.
- Proven track record of sales and activation success with complex product ranges on Amazon and Bol (both quantity and quality).
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape.
- Highly proficient with digital and technical tools (i.e. Keepa, Semrush, Google Manufacturer Center, and Seller Central environments).
- Ability to transform mindsets and lead teams into the digital arena, fostering digital adoption and innovation.
- Proactive, growth-oriented mindset, demonstrating agility, resilience, accountability, and strong leadership in fast-evolving digital environments.
- Ability to build strong partnerships, collaborating effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders to drive cross‑market success.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & time management skills.
- Ability to deliver on ambitious growth goals and to navigate complex multi-market initiatives.
- Skilled in customer P&L analysis, leveraging financial insights to shape profitable growth strategies and execution plans.
- Ability to craft compelling selling stories and to develop clear negotiation strategies.
- Ability to identify mutual opportunities and win customer and platform buy-in to realize joint initiatives.
- Fluency in English & Dutch is required.
