The Leiden analytical development team is responsible for a wide range of activities to help the development and commercial manufacturing of our protein products. Our focus ranges from method development, comparability studies, protein characterization, complex investigations, life cycle management to the activities needed to make those a reality, such as technical innovation, lab operations, regulatory filings, automation, and advanced data analytics. Science and innovation are at the heart of what we do, realized by close teamwork based on mutual respect and passion for delivering for our patients. We are a highly diverse team, with over 10 nationalities from different backgrounds, operating in an international environment. Working in the Leiden AD team offers the opportunity to learn firsthand what it takes to bring our products to the patient across product development and commercialization.
We are looking for an Associate Scientist / Scientist:
As part of the Lab operation support team, you will execute testing with different techniques, on samples as part of scientific studies, projects and / or, investigations.
You will also be performing method co-validations and troubleshoot activities.
Provide documentation to help study directors with the preparation of technical reports and other documents that record data or results.
Accurate record keeping will be fundamental to this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Life Sciences and or a master's degree in Analytical Chemistry
- Experience working within a cGMP environment
- Experienced in one or more of the following techniques: MS, LC/MS, ELSD, cIEF, cSDS, SEC (peptide mapping, oligosaccharide), A280, IEF and SDS-PAGE
- Interpersonal skills - good command of speaking and writing of country languages and English
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic and motivated
- Analytical thinking and (technical) problem solving.
- Pro Active, works independently, takes actions in case there is a problem
