For our location in Haarlem, we are seeking a highly motivated Associate Finance Analyst – General Accounting (Hub/ Entities) for our Finance Trainee Program.

About the Position
In this role, you will be assigned responsibility to manage, analyze and report on activities related to Order-to-Cash, Accounting-to-Reporting and/or Hub Transfer Pricing and Financial Supply Chain. This is role is part of our two-year program which can mean job rotations in the scope just mentioned depending on opportunities in the three areas.
Primary Responsibilities
The Associate Finance Analyst- General Accounting works within the Entity Controllers Group and is assigned responsibility in one or more of the following areas:
- Review pricing, documentation, compliance standards, and perform revenue‑recognition activities within Pricing and Order‑to‑Cash operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business understanding and accurate financial entries.
- Prepare and analyze sales reporting for the legal entities located in the Netherlands.
- Support internal and external audits and liaise with the Internal Audit team and the External Audit team.
- Work as part of the Haarlem Order‑to‑Cash Finance Team and support the Entity Controllers for the Internal Sales Division, the Dutch Business Division, and the Biotechnology Division.
- Perform month‑end accounting activities, including sales and expense recognition, journal entry review and posting, general ledger analysis, and schedule maintenance.
- Support the entity control environment through the implementation of controls aligned with the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act and corporate compliance standards.
- Assist in preparing financial analyses and financial reports in accordance with financial policies, procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for management.
- Provide operational support, including support for financial entries and ownership of specific internal finance processes (for example: value‑added tax reimbursement to DHL for direct importation).
- Maintain transfer pricing accurately and timely in line with the Transfer Pricing policy and arm’s length principles.
- Support operational tasks such as value creation planning calculations, interim financial reviews, data clean‑up, and other team initiatives.
- Participate in profitability analyses for the financial hub as required under the guidance of senior team members.
- Participate in or lead ad‑hoc projects as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Entity Controllers Group, Business Service Centers, Cost of Sales and Inventory teams, Intercompany Center of Excellence, Tax department, Treasury department, and Supply Chain Management teams.
- Report to the Hub Associate Director (either for Internal Sales Division or for Transfer Pricing) with support from senior staff and subject‑matter specialists.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting (master’s, an advantage).
- 0-2 years of experience; no prior work experience required, internships or short-term experiences are a plus.
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing is mandatory.
